ABOUT FULL-CIRCLE FUNDRAISING
Dawn launched Full-Circle Fundraising LLC in 2020 after dedicating over 20 years to the nonprofit sector in fund development, community engagement, and marketing. As a consultant, Dawn partners with nonprofits and businesses that are looking for support in establishing or maximizing their organization’s fund development or administrative systems. This is accomplished by auditing current processes and then designing, integrating, and managing strategies to maximize effectiveness and build capacity, sustainability, and productivity.
Dawn has her B.S. in Business from Kent State University and after an employer identified her writing skills, was introduced to grant prospecting and writing where she began her fundraising career. Her career evolved to encompass sales and marketing, fundraising and event management, strategic planning, and board training. She has successfully obtained millions of dollars from federal, state, and local grant funders, and has had great success in bringing new funding to a community from out-of-state funders. Dawn knows how to gather the data necessary to demonstrate a nonprofit’s need for financial support to engage donors and sponsors. She can also expertly tell a story showing how an organization impacts the community it serves so funders feel confident in providing financial support. Her experiences with agencies of all sizes allow Dawn to turn a strategic eye toward system evaluation and implementation, reducing costs while improving efficiencies.
As a longtime resident of Canton, Dawn is a board member of The Association of Fundraising Professionals Northeast Ohio, is a founding steering committee member for Age-Friendly Stark County, and volunteers for the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Service League and Bagley Scholarship Fund at St. Peter School in Canton. She has also volunteered for organizations including the YWCA of Canton, Your Stark Parks, and Leadership Stark County, of which she is a graduate. She is a member of Women’s Impact and the Grant Professionals Association. She and her husband Dan are the proud parents of three, free-range adult children who all live in Canton. For fun, Dawn is obsessed with Christmas decorating, putting up 12 trees each year, collecting antiques and thrifting, and several crafts too numerous to list.
